APPLYING TO PCA
Application for admission to Providence Christian Academy is open to all academically qualified students who are of good character, provided the family is in agreement with the child’s instruction under the PCA Statement of Faith.

PCA’s purpose, as a local Christian school, is to provide a Bible-based education for students. All students currently attending Providence Christian Academy (Early Education-12th grade) are given priority enrollment for the following school year, except upon the express recommendation of the administration.

Acceptance of students (Early Education-12th grade) for the next school year begins with the re-enrollment of our current PCA families during the month of February. Parents will receive re-enrollment directions from the school office and must complete the process by the end of February to secure placement for their children. Families who are new to PCA and wish to enroll their children for the upcoming academic year are asked to follow the procedures listed below. PCA reserves the right to selectively re-admit students based upon their academic performance and conduct.

NEW STUDENT ASSESSMENT
All incoming students are assessed to properly place them in the best class and identify academic progress in reading, comprehension, mathematics and writing. The most important thing you can do to prepare your child is take the pressure off by having them relaxed, well fed, and well rested. Assessment takes about 45 minutes.
NEW FAMILY
ASSESSMENT
New families will meet with the Administrator prior to final acceptance. Students in grades K-5 are not required to attend the interview; however, students in grades 6-12 must be present. Preschool families will meet with the Early Education Director. We will discuss among other things the philosophy of education at PCA, the responsibilities of a PCA parent, ways parents and students can contribute to the PCA family and discuss any question parents and students may have.
NEW FAMILY ORIENTATION
New Family Orientation sessions are for parents only. These sessions are held on the last Thursday of May, June, and July. They are held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The School Administration will discuss the importance of Christian Education, the educational program at PCA, and school operations. Please reserve a spot on the most convenient date for you.
EARLY EDUCATION
APPLICATION PROCESS
In order to maintain enrollment status, all students must have an updated KY Immunization Certificate and a Student Information Form on file. In general, all students currently enrolled in Providence Christian Academy Early Education Program are automatically enrolled for the following year, except upon the recommendation of the administration. Students whose second birthday is on or before August 1st are eligible to apply for the Early Education Program. Exceptions to this policy are only considered through a formal appeal process to the school board that demonstrates compelling reason why a child not meeting the age criteria should be considered for Kindergarten. Any student entering the 3-year-old program must be fully potty trained. The first 9 weeks of the school year are probationary for all EE students. PCA reserves the right to unenroll students who are not compatible with the program due to potty training, excessive misbehavior, etc.

KINDERGARTEN
